Yeen's Life

06 JULY 2009 - 2.00pm 

I meet our HBP seniors. The senior introduce our HBP's orientation to us that it will be held on 09 JULY 2009 till 12 JULY 2009. Our orientation is call "My Big Bang". When I heard this name, the first come in my mind is "Wah, this orientation surely will be very funny, happy and memorable."

After waiting two days...

09 JULY 2009 - 5.15pm

The first day orientation is started at evening because we are having classes at this morning and afternoon. What can we do at evening? The most suitable sure is SPORTS. We are having two sport games such as netball at Padang Minden and futsal at Stadium. Netball players and their supporters is moving on to Padang Minden. They have to go there by their own leg because there are not buses going to there.

Where should i go?

I am not going to Padang Minden, then surely I am going to stadium to support the futsal's players. Maybe I am the lucky person, I am going there by bus. :)

Why I am not joining any games?

I feel that I am an active person but since I don't know how to play netball and futsal, I just can be a supporter. I was taking photos when they are playing. 

The coming orientation will be full of programmes such like explorace, games, grand dinner and so on. Expecting the coming programmes. :)

10 JULY 2009 - 3.00pm

After class at 12.00pm, our senior came in and introduce a bit about our orientation in the following days. They started giving our big bang shirt and name tag that we should wearing when our orientation. We are divided into 16 groups. I am in the group 11.

Opening ceremony start at 3.00pm. Everyone must wear the big bang shirt and name tag.  

10 JULY 2009 - 8.30pm

Ice breaking started at 8.30pm, we are divided into 16 groups. Each group must think of their group's name, make a sculpture and cheers.

My group is group 11. Our group's name is HBP that represent HONEST, BRILLIANT, POWERFUL.

This is our sculpture. We make our sculpture just like a 3D shield.

11 JULY 2009 - 10.00am

Today, we have to make a special module. An egg will put inside the special module and the special module will be throw down at second floor. If the egg does not crack or broke and the special module take the most long time to reach the floor, the group will be win. 

The materials are ropes, newspaper, straw and plastic bag. This is the materials that provide us to make the special module.

We are discussing about the special module and the following photos show the process of making our group's module.

11 JULY 2009 - 2.00pm

COMPETITION START

The competition started at 2.00pm. These are the other groups module.

Every groups must threw their module at second floor.

 After throwing our group's module, our egg have a little crack. Result is not important but at least our group have a memorable processes. :)

11 JULY 2009 - 8.30pm

EXPLORACE

Raining heavily but explorace still running. Our handphone had been kept by facilitators to avoid our handphone spoil when we are playing our games. 16 groups are combining into 8 groups because there are only 8 checkpoints. We have to go all the station to finish our task. Explorace finished at two o'clock in the midnight. It was tiring but fun.

12 JULY 2009 - 10.00am

PERFORMANCE

This is the last day of our orientation. The facilitators told us, we must prepare for tonight performance. The theme is METAMORPHOSIS. We can act, sing, dance or else to bring out the theme that was given. A group have 8 to 10 minutes to perform. After discussing, our group decide to perform fashion show. Our fashion show have several steps and we have to act from baby step to kids, adolescent, teenagers, adults, old people, dead people and ghost.

We are discussing about the details.

 12 JULY 2009- 2.00pm

PERFORMANCE PRACTICE

After discussing the details, our group members decide to go have our own lunch and come back at two o'clock to practise our performance.

I am acting as a baby. The right hand side is me and the left hand side is my partner that also act as a baby.

This is the baby soother that I bought from Tesco for my performance. 

12 JULY 2009 - 8.00pm

GRAND DINNER

Tonight is the last night of our orientation. We are require to wear mask for attending the grand dinner.

 The grand dinner started and Dr. Aldrin is speaking.

After Dr. Aldrin finished his speech, the performance started and we can have our dinner besides of watching the other groups to perform. Our dinner have barbecue chicken, sausage, fried rice and fried meehoon. Facilitators are grilling the chicken for us.

Not only the first year HBP students are performing. Our facilitators also have their performance. 

My group is the last group of performing. I act as a baby so I have to crawl to the stage. This is my wearing for the performance.
