Project 7 : Project Bamboo Break

We need to do two constructions on this week of our holiday.
1. One Bamboo Cube 1m x 1m x 1m
2. One small object made of bamboo as a gift item, creatively wrapped.
Although we are having Hari Raya holiday, we still have work to be done. Before I go back to my hometown, I already contact my friends, who are scouts in the school before they graduated. I asked for help because I don't know where should I find the bamboos in my hometown.
After I went back to my hometown, I went to borrow parang from my friend. I gave the parang to another friend that would help me to find bamboos. I call him to phone me when he wants to go to hack the bamboos. I want to fetch him to go and I can learn something from that. But he went to find and hack the bamboos by himself and never told me. He contacts me after he cut the bamboos into the length I want. I just went to his house and take the bamboos go back to my house. He calls me to dry the bamboos in the sun before I tie it up.
I can’t tie the bamboos in my house because I can’t take my bamboos go to Penang in a huge size. I wrapped the bamboos up with mah-jong paper and decide to tie the bamboo cube after I go back to Penang.
I had done the small gift in my hometown with my friends helping. They teach me how the scout fastens the knot tightly with rope. I was using their way to tie up my bamboo cube in Penang.
This is the tools that use to cut the bamboos into small pieces.
In the process of making my small gift
My small gift is a picture frame.
After I came back to Penang, I tie two 1mx1m squares in my room first. This is the knot of my bamboo cube.
I woke up early in the morning at 28 September 2009. I have to go to HBP earlier to build and tie up my bamboo cube. This is my product after I tie up all the bamboos.

This is the small gift I received from somebody.
My bamboo cube that I was done is too loose, so I decide to do it again at 28 September 2009 night. I untie my bamboo cube and tie it again. I went to studio with Xin Yee. She also want to tie her bamboo cube again. We did the bamboo cube until 11pm. After we have done our bamboo cube, we walked back to our hostel, Saujana, because it was no bus at that time.
I tie my bamboo by using the stick because it will not cause my hand to be pain.
This is my bamboo cube that been done at 11pm.
I combine my bamboo cube with others to form a big structure.
I sat and stood on the bamboo cube to prove our bamboo formation is stable.
We had combined our bamboo cube together.
